Compassionate Psychiatry Rooted
in Understanding
At Chicago Psychiatry Consultants, our goal is simple: to provide thoughtful, attentive psychiatric care that looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.

Care That Adapts with You
Your needs evolve, sometimes gradually, sometimes suddenly.
Mental health rarely exists on its own. It’s shaped by medical conditions, stress, hormones, and the environments you move through. I pay close attention to how these factors change and adjust treatment accordingly, whether it’s related to aging, pregnancy, medical issues, or major life transitions.
My goal is to keep care aligned with what’s actually happening for you, so treatment stays accurate, steady, and effective as life evolves.
Collaboration and Connection
Dr. Thai believes psychiatric care works best when communication is open and coordinated.
He regularly collaborates with therapists, primary care doctors, and specialists to ensure consistency and safety across treatments.
With permission, he may also include input from family members or trusted observers to get a clearer picture of daily-life symptoms.
A Note About Fees
Chicago Psychiatry Consultants is a fee-for-service practice, meaning you pay directly for each visit.
- Dr. Thai doesn’t work through insurance, so your appointments are focused entirely on your care, not on paperwork or time limits.
- If you have out-of-network insurance, you can ask for a superbill (a detailed receipt) to submit for possible reimbursement.
- This setup helps keep communication quick, scheduling flexible, and care consistent.
“Sometimes our most important role is to hold hope for those who don’t have the hope at the time.”
- Dr. Thanh Thai, MD
Thoughtful Care Begins with a Conversation
The first step is often just talking things through. This is a safe space to share what has been going on and begin making sense of it together.
