Dr. Thai provides a calm, confidential space to talk through what’s been happening, understand patterns, and build a plan that feels manageable.
A Supportive Space for Identity and Transition
Adulthood often brings new questions about identity, direction, and belonging. This can cause anxiety or worsen underlying issues. Whether it be going off to college, starting a new job or career, navigating relationship evolutions, or navigating gender identity,Dr. Thai’s approach is inculsive, informed, and grounded in respect.
Common Concerns I Help With
Many young adults come in with overlapping challenges that can affect mood, focus, and daily life.
Some of the most common include:
- Anxiety and overthinking
- Low mood or loss of motivation
- Academic or career stress
- Sleep difficulties
- Social withdrawal or isolation
- ADHD and concentration issues
- Identity or gender-related stress
- Adjustment to college or independence
- Emotional effects of medical or hormonal changes
Working with Parents or Guardians
For high school and college-age patients, parents are encouraged to be a part of the process, especially at the beginning.
With your consent, Dr. Thai can coordinate with parents or guardians to ensure everyone understands the plan and can support your progress.
This shared understanding helps create a steady foundation for growth.
Begin the Process of Feeling Better
Send an Email
Share a few details about what’s been happening and what kind of support you’re hoping for. You’ll hear back within one business day.
Schedule a Brief Call
A short 10–15 minute conversation helps determine if this is the right fit and what your next step should be.
Meet for an Initial Evaluation
Your first session (about 60 minutes) is a chance to talk through your history, current challenges, and goals for treatment.
Stay Connected and Supported
Follow-ups are scheduled as needed, and questions between visits are always welcome. You’ll never wait long for a response.
A Note About Fees
Chicago Psychiatry Consultants is a fee-for-service practice, meaning you pay directly for each visit.
- Dr. Thai doesn’t work through insurance, so your appointments are focused entirely on your care, not on paperwork or time limits.
- If you have out-of-network insurance, you can ask for a superbill (a detailed receipt) to submit for possible reimbursement.
- This setup helps keep communication quick, scheduling flexible, and care consistent.
“When young people are struggling — whether it’s anxiety, mood changes, or identity questions — my goal is to help them make sense of what’s happening and create a plan that feels manageable.”
